Zagora is one of the hottest Moroccan southern cities, the city is located in the region of souss massa daraa on the Draa River, its location is at around 30°19′0″N, 5°49′60″W, the city of Zagora once belonged to the province of Ouarzazate, now Zagora is a separate city with its own province.
Zagora is flanked by the Zagora mountain from which the town got its name, in ancient hIstory books the city of Zagora was reffered to as : Tazagourt, the town was built in the 20th century, and is a main stop to the deep Sahara desert, the city celebrates yearly its famous festival called : moulay Abdelkader Jilali.
